Why are so many of the doordash delivery people a husband/wife pair?

It takes one person to drive the car, what is the second person for? Any doordash drivers here that can explain why they need their wife with them at all times?

My FedEx delivery is the same way now. Pulls up and stops and passenger jumps out runs to the back gets my package and sprints to the front door throws box and ran halfway back to truck before it even hits the ground. All this rushing is gonna kill people.
