Thanks mate. I put them in to boil with the soup, and pulled out after a couole minutes. wasn't sure how they'd come out.
The radishes are quick pickled in sugar and rice vinegar - just a fresh, zesty, crunchy side to have between all the sense and salty broth and meat.

I'm not experienced with plating so any advice is appreciated. It's steak with mustard and chives topped with rocket, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and parmesan.

I'd seperate them out to start with. Maybe a bigger plate, with a darker tone or some texture.
Try to break things up into different segments of colour, and balance those segments out on the plate.

What I remember as chinese food growing up as a young kid in Hong Kong

>turtle/shark fin soup
>fried chicken feet
>pig uterus noodles
>fried rice with pork knuckle gristle
>unidentifed fish balls on a stick
>boiled dog meat
>one time, monkey brains

Americans have no idea how bad it really is. No one in china knows what the fuck beef and broccoli is or sweet and sour pork. Chinese food is disgusting. Literally the worst parts to eat of any animal. Makes sense because chinks are the race of humans closest to animals. They make disgusting noises when they eat, slurp everything, men in the streets lift their fucking wife beaters over their sweaty stomachs while laughing and chewing with their mouths full of food. Like what kind of idiot decided 2 sticks is the most practical way to eat grains of fucking rice. Starving Nigerians who eat grass have a better diet than the average chinese.

Yeah, for this bowl they had been in a mix of the chashu braising liquid plus tare for about 2 days. The yolk was like jelly, super delicious.

hm well it's unfortunately nothing glamorous, i made creme caramel for the first time. i'd never made anything in a water bath before so i just took a few pics of the things from different angles to show my mom and ask her if everything looked alright and if i had overdid it with the caramelized sugar
she said it was all good. thanks mom

Salmon with some kind of herb crust on vegetables
(carrots, Zucchini, fennel, dandelion leaves, some lemon zest, some garlic. Black pepper)
The stuff around it was deep fried dandalion flowers.

I made a simple pan sauce in the salmon pan, with some Challotes, a bit of garlic, some dandelion leaves, a bit of white whine and some cream.

Looks a bit messy, but it tasted fantastic. I usually make risotto to impress girls, Sounds impressive and you have a good excuse to open a bottle of wine.
Well, usually means like twice a year.
Do you think this might work to?

Not the last dish but the only one I would care to share.
Pekin lacquered duck.
I didn't get the colour and outside appearance I wanted but it was both crispy and tasty. And authentic tasting at that.
