Here's a thing. How to store produce for freshness and how long they'll last.

Basil: unrefrigerated, gently rinsed, in water (snip ends of stems), cover with plastic bag to maintain humidity.

Parsley, cilantro: refrigerated, gently rinsed, in water (snip ends of stems), cover with plastic bag to maintain humidity.

Also
Potatoes: unrefrigerated, cool, dark place.
Onions (and similar alliums): unrefrigerated, cool, dark place (store separately from other produce, particularly potatoes, onions release ethylene gas which ripens & accelerates decay of other produce).

How close do they have to be to matter?
My storage space for food is a small cupboard, and I've been storing potatoes on one side and potatoes on the other.

Refrigeration is not good for tomatoes. I work with fruit and veg and we store tomatoes outside of the fridge.

>corn lasts for 3 days in the fridge
Your chart is shite, mate. I can only assume everything on there is untrustworthy.

>>15978548
You store tomatoes outside the fridge to let them ripen more.

This list is shit, for example, carrots I have right now are from like january, they almost never spoil. You also never refrigerate tomatoes as it ruins their texture and taste. Corn lasts way fucking longer than a week even. Cabbage and cauliflower last weeks and weeks. Terrible list.

It fucks with their texture if you put them in the fridge.

Tomatoes should be at room temp until ripe, then placed in the fridge only if theu wont be uses before they go bad. Thats why OP has two different temps and timeframes on that chart.
