I had one of these at 7-Eleven the other day, and I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it. It's pretty great because the spicy mayo and pickles are in the topping bar, so you can choose how much you want on it. Also, you can add other stuff from the topping bar if you want, like diced onions or spicy peppers.
If you were feeling really daring, you could even pour some chili or cheese over it.

All in all, I say 7-Eleven is definitely the dark horse here in the chicken sandwich wars, and it's gone under a lot of people's radars.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

As someone who has made a point to try these, I can give my official rankings:

1. Popeyes
2. KFC
3. Chick-Fil-A
4. Wendy's
5. McDonald's
6. Zaxby's
7. Burger King
8. Carl's Jr
9. Arby's

Haven't tried Sonic or Jack in the Box. I would try Church's, but in case you don't live in the South let me explain something - you WILL be shot waiting in the drive thru line at Church's. You just don't go there. There is never one in a "good part" of town.

Popeye's hype is real. KFC, for my money, was a very close second. Chick-Fil-A has never been my favorite, despite everyone loving the place, I don't understand their hype but they still make good chicken. Wendy's has consistently good chicken but doesn't make a sandwich that's one of these "sandwich-war" type classics. Their spicy is always good though. After Wendy's, it's just a clusterfuck battle for less-than-first place. Every other restaurant just tries to imitate but has lesser chicken, plain and simple. Zaxby's doesn't even put mayo on theirs, and their Zax sauce isn't great IMO.

tl;dr: Popeye's is worth the hype if you MUST have one of these sandwiches. If you don't want to wait 40 mins for one, go to KFC. Everything else is a waste of your time.

Popeyes by a landslide, crunchy, big chicken breast juicy, spicy sauce is really good.?Chick-fil-A hasn’t been good in years imo. Got one last time and was too thin,,soggy breading and not much flavor. Wendy’s chicken sandwiches has always been good/ a classic. Have yet to try kfc or McDonald’s.

I thought the Popeyes one was heavy and greasy but ultimately better than the other ones. Great quality of ingredients, their chicken is always excellent because iirc they have propriety software on their fryers to keep them super precise. The bun was actually my favorite part, sauce and pickles were reasonable.

More important than "who won" is "should you get one" and I honestly have to say no. None of these sandwiches are that good, or worth going out of your way for. Even the best one was kind of gross and probably nothing I'll order again. No amount of hype will change that its just a piece of chicken between bread. for the $4-$6 price point you're better off getting an actual burger or fried chicken meal.

Don’t care for fast food memes so I haven’t had any, mcChicken has always been consistent tho. I got the ghost pepper one in pic related from quick check a while ago and it was really good, ghost pepper sauce had the same heat as any other normal hot sauce but it was very flavorful

The Burger King one isn't honestly too bad considering it's fucking Burger King. Popeyes/CFA/Zaxbys are interchangable for being the best though.
