I bought rye bread, am going to make pickle onions and add some greens.

if youre american post pic of your rye bread, from my experience i really doubt its actually rye bread
if i were to make a sandwich out of this id use rye bread, red onions, boiled eggs, mayo/smetana and dill

I was looking for some stuff I had when I visited germany. This really hard flat rye bread but they had none. I think the Krauts call it Fitnessbrot. Dunno if thats accurate to what yall eat with it. This is the bread I ended up getting sadly.
