Sure I touch lots of things, I touch lots of things all day long though and don't wash my hands constantly like some sort of hypochondriac. If I'm eating fingerfood then it's different, but otherwise my hands will only be touching one end of silverware, the end that doesn't touch my food or go near my mouth. I'm not going to wash my hands because I touched a couple things before eating.
