A little salt on banana slices and dehydrate em. I like banana chips but they're retardedly expensive in stores.

A bit specific but if you make any hot sauce that you strain and have leftover pulp you can dehydrate it and make chilli oil.

If you slice pineapple thin enough, they become fruit leather. I do the same with pears and apples.
Throw some cinnamon or something on them if you want for more flavor.

Make homemade raisins. So much better then the shitty ones from the store.

I live in the tropics, so whatever items in my yard get ripened too fast, or found at a farmer's market. I particularly like star apples/carambola dried in chips, which I snip into bite sizes and fold into muffin mix or quick bread or scones. They get honey sweet.
Banana chips tastey creamy good.Mangos are heavenly and also good in recipes. It is a labor of love to make jerky, and I use filet, so not at all cost effective unless you shop at costco

Doesn't a convection oven can do the same job? Legit question, I like the idea of deshydrating fruits but I do t want to pay for a special machine.
