Now that the dust has settled and we all agree that beans don't go in chili, are there any decent alternatives to the classic chuck roast? I've considered eye of round before, but it seems like it would be too lean to make a decent chili.

Beans.

Just for the record, sour cream doesn’t go in chili either. It neutralizes the spices and the heat.

Wipe the semen off your lips. Fat absorbs essential oils and ALLOWS you to taste them so it's a non-issue for the spices. Arguing you can't mix oil with spices is several kinds of fucktard and means you might as well just drink SUPER XXXX HOTSAUCE at the end.

Come on over to my place and I'll grind you a special mix of peppers to put in your mouth, no cream.

>Chili con carne (also spelled chilli con carne or chile con carne and shortened to chili or chilli Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtʃili kon ˈkaɾne]), meaning "chili with meat", is a spicy stew containing chili peppers (sometimes in the form of chili powder), meat (usually beef), tomatoes and kidney beans
Chili has beans. The only people who dispute this are faggot-ass competition judges who need "muh historical authenticity". It's like saying "beer doesn't use yeast" because some half a millenium-old German law forgot to include it.

It's in the name chili con carne. Chili with meat. It's a stew made with chilis and beef. Give it a rest, this isn't the topic of this thread.

Falls under the category of spices so it is allowed. The point is to not add cheap filler that ruins the taste.

He's not a real Texan, he's a cal*fornia transplant. cal*fornians don't like beans because they complicate all the anal sex they like to have so they're the ones pushing this anti-bean agenda.

>> No.15956179

Beans only belong in chili if it's a vegetarian chili with no meat. Otherwise they just dilute the flavor of the meat. Their flavor gets overpowered by the meat so they just act like filler.
>b-but then the chili is just pasta sauce!
So use actual cuts of roast instead of ground meat, stupid. God, why do I have to think of everything for you?

I'm telling you that the beans are the flavor getting overpowered, not the meat. The beans just end up being a flavor-diluting filler. Chili is either a meat stew, or a bean stew. Not both.

true but it's even stupider then that, authentic chili was dried beef and dried peppers and anything else that was dried (like beans) and could be eaten on the trail. If you fed these faggots authentic chili they would gag because it was survive food for long trips through the desert
