I'm using a Huy Fong right now, but the bottle's about to become empty and I found this in my home. It's different from Huy Fong, but still good.

>>15952819
Well, will I? Also need to add that while it was never opened before, the seal was loose.

>> No.15952867

Why not taste it and see?

how much of a disgusting messy pig do you have to be to "find" a 4 year out of date sauce in your home

It's not a very good environment for bacteria and the like. Especially if it's not opened. Open it up and see if it smells off, or see if it's got something questionable in it. It may not taste very good. Though at the end of the day, buying a new bottle is only a few bucks.

Hot sauce takes a loooong time to actually expire, especially if you keep it in the fridge.
And it doesn't even go bad, it just starts tasting a bit odd at worst.

There was a problem awhile back with a Russian import brand exploding on store shelves due to over-fermentation. If it goes bad, you'll notice.

They probably fucked something during the preparation or bottling.
Normally hot sauce is very stable and almost never goes bad.

Should be fine. Lots of good hot sauces are aged to begin with anyways. Vinegar is a hell of a preservative.

>>15953116
Then they seriously fucked something up because the vinegar that all properly made hot sauce has will stop any further fermentation.
