yukon gold is best for mashing, very light and fluffy
russet is less so and loans itself well to fries

He doesn't cook, but he keeps going to food drives and getting free food because "dude its free food" but then the food will just sit around forever or rot, because again he doesn't cook. So if I dont use it no one will.

Baked potatoes with the Russets. Stew, roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes with the Yukon Golds.

>> No.15948945

I don't see these mentioned often, but they're an essential part of a Full Scottish breakfast.

https://foodanddrink.scotsman.com/recipes/traditional-scottish-recipe-potato-scones/

These are also rather tasty on a buttered bread roll with salt and vinegar

They kinda remind me of Lefse, which is something I can also make.
Thanks dude.

Oh yeah, those do look sorta similar.
If you're making them, some people eat them hot when freshly made, with a little butter on them.
More commonly, they are left to cool, and then shallow fried along with other breakfast items in a pan as alluded to by >>15949017
He is also correct, brown sauce is the only acceptable condiment with this.

Others have nailed all the good ones but don't forget about making your own chips! Results can be quite shitty if done poorly but it's always a fun activity.

If some of the potatoes end up getting sprouty because you can't use them all, you can still plant them and have a few new buddies in the garden.
