There are chicken tenders, how come there aren't beef tenders? I'd like to have red meat tenders.

It would be a waste to take beef tenderloin and deep fry it like that. But the Argentinian milanesa is basically the same thing, but bigger and made with lower cuts of meat. It's very delicious. They even sell them freshly breaded, ready to fry in their supermakets. I've seen that when I was there.

When I was a freshman in college, the dining hall served steak fingers and cream gravy for breakfast every couple of weeks or so.

It was delicious.

The next year, their steak fingers were terrible. The only thing I can think of is that someone underbid their supplier that year.

Anyway, I had chicken fried steak frequently as a kid, but never steak fingers. Ever since my freshman year in college, I have generally considered steak fingers to be the breakfast version of chicken fried steak.

Maybe this is just a product of the shittiest cuts being used for Chicken Fried Steaks, but I think deep fried beef tends to be way too tough and chewy for something tender sized.
