I didn't, but then some incredibly queeny regular customers complained the meal was "mostly rice", despite being maybe 2/5 of the plate.

>cut back on meat/veg
>increase sauce by a tablespoon
>toss instead of properly plating
>put in a bowl that makes it seem like they got the same amount

Wise answer. Different people like different things, don't impose your choice on them.

I can mix rice with hot curry and have a meal that is definitely on the light side as spiciness goes, or I can eat my curry until I reach threshold of my tolerance, then get some rice to bring hotness back down

I hate when curry is served on a plate rather than in a bowl because then it's just tedious trying to mix the rice and sauce together

>> No.15930531

I probably eat about 1/2 to 2/3 of the meal with them separate, alternating between taking some rice to dip into the curry and putting some curry over a little of the rice and scooping it up. Then for the last part of the meal I mix it all together mainly to pick up the remainer of the curry. I don't particularly mind mixing them but I definitely prefer having the textures separate somewhat in a given bite (curry covering rice as opposed to curry mixed into the rice)

why is japanese cuisine so hilariously bad?
the main staple dish of nipponland is sushi which is literally just fish on rice
their curry is just watered soup
ramen is just inferior version of authentic Chinese noodles
even instant noodles is taiwanese (Chinese) and not from japan

why could the nips not make a satisfactory cuisine?

>> No.15935774

No, why would you ever do this. Mixing to your taste gives you near limitless choice in ratio of rice to curry sauce to veg to meat.

Mixing it is literally robbing yourself of finding the ultimate combination of delicious food on your spoon. Plus if you're using chop sticks, the mixed one is dramatically harder to manage.
