The flash freezing process they use on meat before they ship it to your grocery store kills any parasites. Decades ago salmon was considered unfit to be used in sushi because of parasites, but now the freezing kills them and it's common as fuck in sushi. There's nothing special about salmon, other meats that go through that process are just as safe to eat raw
