>Should we eat more salads?
In pre industrial societies, salads weren't even a thing, they were just an excuse to use dressings and nobody ate them, there were no vegans. Our ancestors ate 75% meat and the rest was fruit like berries or bananas. Eatings greens and salads do not make you thin, If so how do you explain the chinese and japanese that eat a shit ton of meat and rice in the morning with egg and ramen noodles during the day, But you know what they also drink, they drink very little sugar and a shit ton of green tea/water. The problem is sugar that inflames your arteries and not eating enough red meats and salt. Modern medicine has brainwashed people into thinking have high cholesterol, salt saturated fats are bad so we would consoom more sugar and soda, and it worked, now america has an obesity and diabetes problem because of processed foods and fast food filled with sugar.

What I'm referring to is not keto, the japanese are not keto....they eat rice, keto is consuming low carb, which our ancestors didn't do, they ate a shit ton of fruit.

I only eat salads if they're in a submarine sandwich or on a pizza. I hate eating salads by themselves but they're A-ok when fused with something actually edible in itself.

and not only fruit, but milk too, which was our main source of carbs for a while.

our ancestors, IE Pre industrial society did not have a diet of under 20g carbs a day, they were not keto. I used the japanese because they specifically eat carbs everyday and are one of the healthiest countries in the world, due to eating non processed foods and little sugar in their drinks. KYS

I don't think "antinutrients" is really a keto thing. I think paleo and carnivore dieters complain about those things more often. But that's usually more of a concern with grains/beans/legumes. And unless your diet is mostly grains/beans/legumes and you never eat meat then they've been shown to have some benefits.

>Our ancestors ate 75% meat and the rest was fruit like berries or bananas.
Our ancestors were eating meat and fruit but also bread made from wild grains and tubers before agriculture even started. Evidence of breadmaking about 14,000 years ago was found even though farming only started about 10,000 years ago. We see hunter-gatherers today eating a lot of honey, some averaging 50g of sugar from honey per day or even more, but I'm not sure if that was always done in the past.

It's mainly processed food that you have to watch out for, because the processing strips out nutrition and other things that make you feel satisfied, so you end up eating more high calorie but low nutrition and low satiety food which easily leads to weight gain.

>>15859494
yes, the main thing to watch out for is processed which is my main point. Most of our diet was meat and carbs whether it's from bread, fruit or milk. Problem specifically now is that people are consuming over 250-300g of sugar in a day with soda, it's poison. If you look at the japanese, one of the reasons they are so skinny is because of their green tea/water consumption and excercise. People underestimate how much sugar fucks people up, it's an addiction.

and overall just to eat like people in the 1600's and 1700's. Whole grains, fruits and meats.

I believe you about the honey, 1-2 tbsp is easily 50g sugar
