Cheap, healthy, tasty, great texture. Give it a try if you haven't already. Just slice and pan fry.

I haven't had chicken hearts, but I imagine you can just slice them in half and use them as you would any other cubed dark meat. I think the closest ive had to chicken hearts was rabbit hearts. I just battered and deep fried them, was really tasty.
Try stir fry, pan fry, deep fry, make into stew, curry etc. A quick google search revealed this, skewered japanese style, looks really tasty.

Heart from large mammals are great, can be sliced and it looks and tastes just like muscle meat with a less stringy texture. Easiest 'offal' to eat.

For me, it's not eating organs despite the low cost and nutritional benefits.

Im guessing you meant to write " im not eating organs despite..." and thats understandable. I was a bit squeamish when i started eating organs but now im really loving it and eating them regularly. Heart is the easiest organ to start trying as it does not have the 'offal' taste that kidney, liver, and intestines have. I haven't tried brain and sweetbreads, those kind of weird me out.

Seared lamb hearts stuffed with minced forest mushrooms and onion braised with red wine, garlic, rosemary and thyme is one of the best things I've ever eaten - no joke. 1kg of hearts cost like A$6.50
