Anyone else know this feel? Does eating deenz give me an advantage?

Thank you.

Why are these specific cans always gunked up on the outside? I see the same thing at the market I go to. Just the cod liver ones.

Eh?
Do you mean the cardboard tray?
I fail to see the “gunk”.

It's minor but you can see small flecks of some brown substance on the pull tab and also along the outer rim of the can (especially in the upper left). No other canned seafood that I've seen has had this.

The contents are delicious regardless.

>> No.15836685

>>15836651
Good eye, anon.
I can only guess that the packing company knows that the small customer base who will be buying canned cod livers aren’t the sort who would think discoloration on the pull-tab is a dealbreaker.
King Oscar is big enough that it can be assumed their decisions are made based on sales metrics.

Why would someone buy an oily fish *not* in oil?
Only oil can bring out the flavor of oil. This is the first thing you learn in organic chemistry.

Next time grab some with the skin on and bones in. That combo makes it a lot more healthier, and I've noticed if the skins are still on the fish isn't as dry.
