Had an orange today. I tore into and peeled away it's rhinoceros hide with my thumb nail, since then my thumb has been sore beneath my nail. These things really are not worth eating.

Sounds like your nails and fingers are pathetically weak. Change up your diet and hit the gym. And wash your hands after peeling, the acid can be irritating on any dry or torn skin.

Having weak and brittle nails is a symptom of vitamin deficiency. It means you need to eat more of them.

Also, buy a peeler if you really have a problem with your hands smelling like an orange
