They're easy to represent as a burger, no matter how simple or detailed they're drawn, and I find them best freshly ground, lightly seasoned (salt, pepper, maybe a pinch of spice) seared (smashed even) on a flat top or plate, then flipped over to a charcoal-fired grill, topped with decent cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle, hot pepper, and some garlicky mayo or tzatziki, semi-sharp mustard, or less-than-cloying barbecue sauce - something with a bit of bite to it that leaves room for the flavour of the browned beef.
