Idk about mascarpone's availability around the world but you should try doing it home, it's easy and tasty.
I also dislike (unlike my family:/) the over sweet so I just put around 3-3 1/2 spoons of sugar (per 500g cheese and 4 eggs), you just have to find the quantity you like by messing with the sugar and/or the alcohol.
Another tip is about biscuits.
Savoiardi are the standard, "real" ones but if u want u can use pavesini which are cheaper, easier to obtain and make the tiramisu lighter.
