everybody likes ranch: buttermilk, spices, and mayo make a wonderful sauce which has some good uses. I don't like it at all as a standard salad dressing but raw vegetables and chicken wings are foods which ranch dressing accompanies well.
I wouldn't put it on my pizza like many people do but it's not a useless heinous condiment like many pretend
