Cooked with mostly milk and a splash of water. Most of the time I have it on its own, with some strawberry jam or with honey on top and sliced banana.

I don't. Every time I've tried oatmeal it's either bland as fuck or way too sweet.

I eat it a few times a week as a dessert to fill that sweet craving. It tastes good, but has more fiber and less sugar than junk food.

1 cup of oats
1.5 cups of water
pinch of salt
sprinkle some cinnamon powder
splash of vanilla
3 tbsp of sugar
cook it on the stove on low for a few minutes

I've been wanting to try this for when I have to wake up really early for work. Do you just mix it all and keep in the fridge then eat them cold the next morning?

>> No.15635399

1 part rolled oats
1.5 part water
0.5 part apple cider vinegar
Salt

And then served with diced fresh apple bits. Bretty gud. Chef John did a Swedish Chocolate ball recipe a while back which is based as fuck

Yup. They don't really heat up well (I've tried) so I'd recommend against it if you don't like cold food

>> No.15635615

Literally every way I can think of, there's nothing I don't use oats for or in.

But porridge means just one thing to me. A little salt and a little water and good quality oats, cooked how I like them.

Raw jumbo rolled oats with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and three types of raisins. With (yes) s*y milk.

It's such a slow release of energy that I don't need to eat lunch when I have this for breakfast. Feels good man.
