The humble baloney sandwich. I used to turn up my nose at baloney, but I've had a change of heart as of late for some unknown reason. With that: the humble baloney sandwich. How many slices? Is there such a thing as too many? Too few? Mayo? Cheese? Ketchup maybe? What else? What kind of bread? What kind of cheese? Other ingredients?

Have you tried pan-frying your bologna before sandwiching it?

That sandwich isn't very humble.

My go to is 3 slices fried, 1 slice of cheddar cheese, on whole wheat

Mortadella is better imo

2 slices balogna, 1 slice swiss, and some really good mustard.

>2 slices of white bread
>2 cold baloney
>1 slice of american cheese
>1 quarter-sized squirt of mayo
Best sandwich ever.
Don't @ me, bigots.

For unfried bologna, it notice that you never wanted too strong flavors. If you can make your own mayo on a nice soft bread it’s pretty fucking awesome.

For fried, you can be more aggressive with your bread and extra crunch bread

Yes I love boloney sandwich. Gotta get that boarshead brand boloney, I get it sliced very thin. I put many slices on white bread with nothing else. I friggen love it

balogna and mustard is about as plain yet delicious as you can get for a sandwich.

the only time i ever ate that was when i was in jail. Would anyone choose to eat this if they had enough money to get something better?

came here to say the same thing, reminds me of jail. good baloney is good baloney though

I had one tonight. Single slice bologna, single slice extra sharp cheddar, Mayo, half yellow mustard half horseradish mustard, plus a bunch of salad and raw vegs on the side. I feel ten times better than when I eat shit like pizza or heavy meats for dinner.

I just got out of jail and their bologna is not good bologna. Felt a little cardboardy and extra thin.

my grandpa and i used to share a balogna and cheese sandwich with mustard some days in the summer when i stayed over. what a good memory.

the worst was those grey chicken "bologna" slices honestly and my roll to put my bologna on was usually 1/3 the size of the meat.

mine was all wet. not greasy but soggy, and extra rubbery. tasted like there was twice the filler in the meat too

well they were kind enough to give us a baggie with mustard for the sandwich but it was literally spilling out. I think they literally watered down their mustard.

they less they feed us the more they put in their pocket. Sometimes the bologna i ate was literally green but it never made me sick.

i enjoy nice thick slices of sharp cheddar with my baloney sammiches, yellow mustard and mayo lightly applied to the cheapest store-brand white bread you can buy.

balony is gross unless fried up as poorfag bacon

>> No.15613673

breaskfast bologna(1 or 2 slices) goes on lightly fried holding down the middle and thrown at the end of a fried egg sammich/melt with mayo and hot sauce on either white or wheat

lunch/dinner goes on potato (2 or 3 slices), thinly sliced onion and iceberg lettuce, mayo and yellow mustard and cracked black pepper, side of manzanilla olives, dill pickle spears, chips and soda. occasionally i will use pimento cheese spread instead of mayo and add bread and butter pickles instead of lettuce.

For me, it’s the bologna and liverwurst sandwich with spicy brown mustard.

As much as I like bologna, it's a food best kept to a mild amount. Three or four slices of bologna at most. I think condiments are best for giving taste to dry meats like ham and turkey, but bologna, at least the bologna I buy, is usually moist and tasty enough that I prefer it without condiments or cheese. Just four slices of bologna on a whole wheat bread for me.

i can, without effort, consume a whole loaf of bread, 2lbs of bologna, probably 1/3 a jar or more of mayonnaise, a bottle of shitty yellow mustard, and a pound of kraft american singles as long as the aforementioned are assembled into bologna sandwiches
jesus FUCK i love this shit so much
