Wait, you people still have cage farmed chickens? Literally outlawed for years in europe. Still, practically all farmed chickens get feed grain sloppa instead of insects and if you never ate eggs and meat from a country chicken picking their meal from the compost, you have never tasted actuall eggs or chicken meat. No degree or organic will pay for that, they just get treated nicer.

Free range chickens is a marketing thing. They basically live in the same condition as caged chickens but are all in one big pen instead of individual small ones and get to go outside like 10 minutes a day. Personally I don’t care about the morality of it and just eat whatever tastes good. As should you.

:( my ducks are raised on rotating pasture, not free range.
My neighbor has free range chickens, but they occasionally get picked off by predators, the fence is more to protect the ducks than to confine them. This has been further confirmed when I have had ducks fly out of the pasture. But they seem to know what it's about because when they fly out they cry to be let back in.

I agree, confinement raised chickens, whether its cage or barn raised, have bland, tasteless eggs.

Free range doesn't mean that they aren't feed soy and other grains instead of insects. Do you seriously think those mass produced free range eggs come from chickens which are able to sustain themselves on the dirty dry soil they are allowed to range? For that you need a whole homestad with hipes of manure and what not for insects to actually grow and be picked up. Your walmart free range eggs are just conventional eggs with exr steps for gullible big city folks.

If you would actually taste real freely feeding themselves chicken eggs you would probably kill yourself for never getting them again. Same for their meat.

500g of dry Berglinsen cooked in instant brooth.
Potatoes on sale during saturday evening for soups or some snacking when fried.
Flour to make my own pasta (tastes much better when you only have alioli, spinach or other cheapo stuff as a toping) or bread, which tastes delicious with butter and some salt. Flour and eggs also make grat pancakes with a bit of sugar on top or even homemade caramel sirup. Later "Brotsuppe" as gotten from the Kriegskochbuch, is a good way to use up dried to stone bread.
Add some meats eggs, heavy cream and some cheap ground meats on sale on the weekend or whatever floats our boat and is affordable.
I also only drank tap water and some black tea with a bit of sugar.

People which can't handle their budget with 150€ let alone 400€ are retarded beyond believe. So claiming that most people buy cage eggs becaue they can't affort anything better is nothing but a lie. They buy them because they are stupid and stingy in terms of nutrition yet unable to cook economical of their life depended on it.

My boyfriends mom also tried to gift me with free range organic eggs and I legitimately couldn't eat them. I gave her the eggs back along with some of my duck eggs.

That means nothing. Sometimes I get very orange yolks from the supermarket eggs I buy, and sometimes pale yellow.

It had more to do with the chicken’s genetics than anything else.

We both thought that with enought mixing and grinding the product would be really hard to distinguish from real fg. So I don't really see a reason to waste so much money on a meme ingredient.

>> No.15610324

Hens kill each other when they have too little space and too much stress, retard. This usually happens when they are grassed without cover, which stresses birds which have evolved to run under tree branches to hide from aeronal predators as well if they are pressured to live in mega sheds with tousands of other birds, as chickens naturally bind to 20-30 other birds max.

That picture is perfection. I still remember an old documentary of a small cattle herder which would take his gun, pet and feed the animal away from the other ones and when it was happily chilling he would just sunset it quick and clean. It never realised what happened.

People like that anon are barely human to begin with. But thankfully those same usseless eaters would piss their pants when made to actually kill and butcher an animal. Yeah well, that's a myth. Adrenalized blood ruins the flavor of the meat. Time and time again I hear about hunters who don't make a killing blow, have to chase down the animal, and find them suffering 20+ hours later to put them out of their misery and can't eat any of the meat because its ruined from stress.

The united states sucks with meat. USDA inspected facilities are expensive and there aren't many of them, meaning livestock has to be transported far.

When I wholesaled my beef I did not get USDA inspected beef because of how local it is. The cow traveled less than an hour to be slaughtered, and since it was a guys personal cow, it was not packed in. And even then it's not good enough for me. The plan is to home slaughter, skin, and evicerate my own cow and use a plant as a place to chill and break down the carcass.

All the eggs and chickens I eat come from a local provider, who uses modern best practices to provide for the birds. The chickens eat bugs and scratch grass. They have access to grit and fresh water 24/7. They lay eggs in hutches with straw linings. They live the chicken tractor life.

Also, this farm does not kill all the male chicks. They are raised as meat birds, in a chicken tractor.

Listen retard, I've been poor for years. I know the mentality most people in such positions have. And let me tell you, they aren't poor by mistake.

You can very easily check for price when I tell you that I'm from germany and 2000kcal for a mostly sedetary adult is more than enought. Which this diet provides. You can get 500g of flour for 0,50€, which is like 1800kcal. ow add good amounts of oil and other ingredients listed and you are perfectly fine. You even have some tee and sugar for home made ice tea, which further increases your caloric intake. I mostly made lentil soup, where 500g of dried ones did cost like 1€ and lasted me for a couple days.

Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. I do. Most poor fags are so due to being barely above basketball american level retarded.
