Every so often the teacher rewarded the class with pizza for doing a good job on tests or whatever else.

It's the south's most northern state. Main cities would be Indianapolis, Columbus, Bloomington, Lafayette, and Fort Wayne. Lots of farmland and a couple nice parks. Mostly white. Food scene was growing before covid. You can get a fried pork tenderloin sandwiches which are comically large tenderloins pounded flat and fried like a schnitzel on a super tiny bun. The airport is really nice and quick to get through.
