Imo if you're making recipes in 2020+1 you're pretty much just changing an ingredient or two of an age old recipe to fit your taste. If you're doing anything more you are pushing into haute cuisine type territory and becoming removed from reasonable home cooking. Perhaps there is some room there if you have a really refined palette and intimate understand of how ingredient flavors might combine to make some noteworthy changes to old recipes, but there is little room for significant innovation otherwise.

French cooking academy is one of my favorites. No bullshit vlog to sift through, mis en place in the first frame of the video, and his recipes teach cooking techniques in the middle of a recipe without being an abrupt lesson in the middle of the recipe like alton brown might do (not to shit on the GOAT, but that is definitely his style)

I think that's why he started the Basics spinoff, the meme recipes are what get him the views but those vids are the ones where he can share general cooking skills and recipes for things most people would reasonably eat on a given day.
