What Are You Cooking Tonight?

I have been cooking for fun a long time, but only recently started trying to plate/photo my meals nicely.
Would love some feedback on this one, and also to see what everyone else is cooking.

it is nice but maybe overcrowded
I'd suggest you to choose a larger dish or put less stuff

Beef stew in Guinness.

Prime ribeyes, shroom risotto, and brocolini. And scotch.

What's between the beets? IMO I would lose the peas and just have 3 things, but I'm a retard

>>15577813
Ashed goat cheese.
Agreed the peas don't look very fancy, I originally intended to just sprinkle with some fresh peas out of the shell, but felt wasteful.

That looks nice, anon. Would enjoy.

The in-laws randomly gave us steaks, so I'm doing those and roasted carrots, making biscuits as well. Real simple but one of my favourite kind of meals.

Do American's really do this? Thinking they are big time chefs?

good, but the plates are busy
just like with any sort of aesthetic product, you really want to have focal point, something that immediately draws the eye to it and keeps that attention
>>15577911
this is a joke post, but that sort of fine dining-aping, sauce ridden plating is fucking disgusting and needs to go extinct as a practice

both are great, anon. looks like something i'd accuse someone of stealing off pinterest.
me i'm fixing to make some bolognese, but on the one hand i don't have it in me to make a huge pot of sauce, on the other i'm not sure about spending an hour for just one portion

Thanks guys. Agree they are a bit busy, but I like a lot of variety in the food. I wonder if theres a way to have a focal point and still have a lot of different side dishes.

Leftover bolognese is great. Go for the big pot

would you be willing to post setup for your pictures? I see you clearly have a light box type of setup. Also jelly as fuck over that plate, where'd you get it? makes me wish I would've got a charcoal / blackish dinnerware set instead of white
