Moo shu pork is low risk. It's nutritious. It's good for me. It's the perfect way to start the day.

Love me some orange chicken or seafood fried rice.

Anybody else like to make seitan the traditional Chinese way? I find the texture to be far superior to seitan made using processed wheat gluten, and you can even make some cool noodles with the leftover wheat starch!

I'm not brave enough to get anything other than General Tso's because Chinese chicken is terrible unless it's fried. Any recommendations?

Shrimp egg foo young combo.

>Used to go to Chinese joint in rural South 30 years ago
>Buffet, but really small. Like 8 dishes egg rolls and sugar doughnuts
>One was pork egg foo young
>Absolute perfection with roast pork gravy
>Had Chinese NYC, East Coast, West Coast, nothing beat this little Chinese joint that prided itself on a few dishes

Authentic chinese is my favorite cuisine in the world except maybe thai but I'm more interested in chinese. I love all things dim sum, sichuan beef noodle soups, peking duck, definitely more that I'm forgetting

I've never had hotpot at the restaurant itself. I've ordered hotpot to go but at that point it's basically malatang

this guy gets it. especially the spicy kinds from sichuan. a local hole in the wall place near me makes their own noodles and it's my favorite chinese food to get

I like the typical Americanized Chinese food and that hot and sour soup with the egg drop and mushrooms. I don’t think I’d like traditional Chinese dishes though, looks too oily.

>One Standard takeout place
>Two quasi Chinese/Jap places that do neither great
>Buffet's takeout/delivery goes to hell during fauxvid
>Order from standard takeout place to try it
>Kids want noodles, so do I
>Pupu platter, sesame chicken, mongolian beef, pork egg foo young, and house special chow mein for family style
>Chow mein was chop suey with white rice
>Terrible chop suey on top of that
>Everything else was really good surprisingly
>Has happened before at different place

What the fuck? I've ordered chow mein fun and gotten good noodles but chow mein constantly means chop suey in takeouts.
