Go talk to the owner about bar backing, i.e. bitch work. You clean, peel, and cart everything around for a few years and you may get a chance to pour.

Remember though that the job pays shit and that is why the people on the video above are so miserable. They get an ounce of power but, ultimately aren't going anywhere.

Nobody will hire you with 0 experience especially at a non corporate bar where it's about who you know or working your way up.

If you have a particular bar in mind get to know the owner and ask about getting a bar back position and maybe a year or two after that if you're not totally retarded they'll let you start bartending for realsies. Not speaking from personal experience but that was my friends trajectory. If it's a bar that doesn't deal with fancy gay cocktails the timeline is shorter since even a retard can pop open beers and mix whiskey and soda.

Great job, especially if you like talking with people, to make some easy money while you're pursuing some other goal. If you stay in it, you need to become an owner or you'll eventually burn out and turn into a drunk or drug addict and wake up one day wondering just how you wasted so many years of your life.

I previously dated a bartender for a few years. Here is what you'll experience OP.
>insane shifts covering for terrible coworkers
>you'll develop either a drinking habit, drug habit, or smoking habit to cope with the stress of dealing with people
>unless you're a hot big tiddies girl or working at a classier bar where the uniform requires you to dress up. Don't expect to be treated like a person.
>make sure that none of the patrons know what type of vehicle you drive or any personal information about you.
>learn that you'll make a living off of tips and not the paycheck.
>work on how to make small talk with people and listening. You'll have every drunk give you their life story and wallet if you're even decent at those skills.
>except to get hit on a lot, regardless of sex, for discounted or free drinks. My ex would tell me stories of women and men offering their bodies to her for a $10 cocktail.

Brand/product development, fancy pants events, creating beverage programs, cost control, among other things. Believe it or not fancy hotels, restaurant groups, and brands in general pay good money for that kind of thing. Yes, the majority of food and hospitality lifers are burnout addicts but there's a good portion of solid hard working folk that get beyond the wagecuck ceiling.

If you're in a country with tipping don't bother.
You'll only get a job as a bartender in a tipping country of the previous bartender died and you just happen to be an 18yo blonde with big tits.
Otherwise you'll need a resume 3 pages long of previous bar experience and mixology courses and even then they'll just put you to work in the kitchen cutting up onions.

Of you're in a non tipping country bar work is ok but pays like shit and you have to deal with drink fuckheads all the time.

Get a chill night shift job in a hotel or something instead
