I like to do it myself sometimes and I just love the smell of fresh grounds. Plus coffee beans store better than ground. I make enough to last me a weekend which is when I do most of my drinking

I think so for two reasons. First, the freshly ground beans have more aroma than the preground stuff. Second, you can grind the beans finer for better caffeine extraction than the coarsely ground stuff.
