Raw aloe is actually pretty healthy and is commonly used as a supplement where I live in the Caribbean. HOWEVER, IT IS SUPER BITTER so use caution. You can eat it (the jelly only, not the skin) raw, cut it into small cubes and freeze it to make it easier to swallow (again, it's SUPER bitter), you can rub it on your skin, in your hair, etc. I suggest using gloves when handling.
