Hey anon. Do deviled eggs if you're doing it for a budget.
If it isn't a budget then do as follows
Meatballs : 2 pounds of lean ground beef ; Mix and season to your taste (MTL steak spice, some Frank's, some minced onion and garlic). Form into meatballs and brown. I just place them on a cookie sheet and bake them at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and then transfer them to a casserole dish and pour the sauce over them and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
This is the sauce : 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar, 3/4 cup of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of dry mustard, 1 cup of ketchup, half cup of bullseye, half tbl spoon Frank's, 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a Tbsp of water to thicken the sauce.
Instead of a Castrol dish you can use a crock pot if you want.

Anyways, the best thing for a potluck is something that is very simple and it’s 100% clear what your fellow party guests are eating, or something obviously store-bought and familiar.

Egg salad is too much of a sloppa and eggs a little pungent. If you want to bring sandwiches, I recommend a nice neutral meat like ham or turkey, with a neutral cheese like mild cheddar or American. And they can’t be on sliced bread. Put them on rolls or croissants.
