Babish struck while the iron was hot and the majority of people thought that Sohla was in the right somehow. He made a shitload of money and views from getting her on the channel when he did. He can choose to put her on the backburner (heh) or just straight up drop her whenever he wants because he still owns the channel, so I don't think it was a mistake on his part. If public favor shifts against Sohla it's not going to impact him in any meaningful way.
