I have a roommate who only eats microwave food. Like, he doesn't know HOW to cook. He does top ramen in the microwave. I own all this stuff that would be easy to prepare. Ultimately, it leaves more for me. Pretty sure this guy has eaten nothing but pizza rolls and hot pockets for the last five years, Alaska native guy who hates women, and he works a 9-5 at a safeway, can barely make rent each month.

It's okay. It means the ingredients i purchase last twice as long. I hide the food I cook because otherwise he will parasite eat the whole thing that he never worked or contributed for.

If you live with family/significant other it's usually acceptable to eat leftovers out of the fridge. Roommates, flatmates, or housemates eating leftovers that aren't theirs is crossing a line. There needs to be trust when sharing communal spaces.

The dude is legit retarded. I once made him one of his top ramen packets the proper way, in a pan. I cut up scallions and cracked an egg into it. He admitted it tasted a hundred times better than doing it microwave.

He still refuses to use the stove to do it. "The stove is for women even if the food tastes better. Men use microwaves." He said those exact words. He's never getting another meal cooked ever again.

The place I live in didn't allow me to choose roommates. The Landlady unfortunately shoved him in here because he's the son of "a friend of hers." The moment he defaults on rent a third time im taking it to the landlady and if she doesn't do anything about it I'm going full trump justice and taking her to court.

Just for note: I basically am renting a house, and even the lease is signed for only one individual and that hasn't changed. She shoved him in here as a favor to a friend and though I initially had qualms about it the law shut me down twice. He's defaulted on rent two times so far, and when he was forced in our rent actually increased because she could make the same that I was paying per month off both of us, slimy liberal that she is. She's effectively making over twice as much and when he defaulted on rent both times I had to cover or she would have evicted me but not him. If he defaults once more it's her problem and ill lawyer up and bring her slimy ass to court until there's nothing left to sue.
