I grew up super poor
we didn't even have a microwave and only used a toaster oven to cook if it wasn't fast food
If we ever had leftovers, which was super rare, I would eat it either cold or at room temp the next day for lunch
People would think it was bizarre to eat food that had been sitting out overnight or that wasn't reheated
To this day I still pack my lunch, whether it be chicken, fish, ground meat, whatever, and don't use the office microwave to heat it
I'm just used to eating it somewhat cold and everyone thinks I will get sick from it
Don't let people tell you food rules are important
