I like American tacos. We're talking Ortega stand-and-stuff shells,ground beef with General Mills taco seasoning, Kraft pre-shredded cheddar cheese, Tostitos mild salsa, and canned kidney beans.
I like legit street tacos too, but sometimes I want the nostalgia of the shitty American tacos my mom used to make.

Nope. I usually keep three kinds of bread at a time. Basic Kroger whole wheat for sandwiches, small Italian bolio loaves for garlic toast points, and usually some kind of hamburger or hotdog bun for burgers and brats.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Taco, is in fact, a method of consumption, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, a way of eating. Tacos are not a dish unto itself, but rather another method of consuming a fully complete dish made edible without tools by the tortilla, sauces and condiments comprising a full meal as defined by traditional food culture.
Many Mexicans eat a modified version of a taco every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of tacos which is widely consumed today is often referred to as a separate dish, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the taco method of eating, developed by the pre-Columbian civilizations. There really is a taco, and these people are eating it, but it is just a way of consuming the dish they are eating.
Taco is the delivery system: the act of putting ingredients in a tortilla, folding it, and using that instead of a spoon or fork to take it to your mouth. The guisado is an essential part of every meal, but useless by itself; it can only be consumed via the use of a manipulation and transportation tool. Tortillas are normally used in combination with the rest of the meal: the whole system is basically a dish with tortillas on the side, or a complete meal. All the so-called “Tacos” are really normal dishes on a tortilla.
