It’s clearly a woman.
This means she already had her phone camera out to Instagram some other ingredients on a part of the counter you can’t see at this angle.
Specifically, the part where she always puts food for instagramming because it also shows her 3-bottle countertop winerack and her “Live, Love, Laugh” wall-decal.

Because “omg muh flufferino furbaby goodboi doggo bleppy pupperino” and similar faggotry.

I live in a pet-friendly high rise apartment. In the last year, I’ve only seen one other cat here because it happened to be sitting in a window. But everyone in my building (mostly millennial couples and single women) has dogs. So many damn dogs the apartment built a private dog park as an amenity.
Dogs have won this generation.

Pig-Disgusting. I could never. I keep a firm no-human-food policy on my pets. What you described would infuriate me. Most I get is maybe a little meowing if the cat hasn't been fed in a while and I'm cooking chicken or pork. But she knows she's not getting any, and the most I've ever given her is a leaf of baby spinach. So I don't get begging, and I don't get cats sticking their face in my plate. My cats hate clapping, so when they were young, any time they leaped up on the counter I would clap in their face, I'd go chase them down and pick them up and put them on the counter, clap again, repeat 2-3 more times so they got the message. Same if I caught them sneaking up there while I was in the other room. After a while we never had any issues, except for when people came over and the cheekier of the two little shits would jump up and dare me to discipline her in front of company. Almost had to respect it at that point.
