what is your favorite soy sauce?for me it is Kikkoman
to be honest, I made this thread just to see if this board also has the word filter lol
>>15346929Good, because I can't tell you until I get home. I can't read Japanese.
>>15346929Kikoman for me as well. How the fuck do these chinks mass produce something of such high quality, at such a low price?
I don't like soy sauce. If it isn't already in something then I don't want any. I liked it on my rice as a kid though.
>>15347279same thing happened to me, used to like soy sauce on rice, now barely ever use itI do use kikkoman too
>>15347279Its nice just to put on some brocoli
>>15346929is soy sauce one of the greatest culinary invention?

It's Aloha soyu for me bois
only one I buy from the Asian market
>>15347885This, the small kikkoman bottles are devised by jews to jew you out of your shekels.
its just way too much salt desu every asian cooking recipe just keeps piling on soy sauce at every step
I don't know if its just me and my unrefined taste buds but of all the brands I've tasted all soy sauce tastes the same and any differences are practically negligible in the grand scheme of a recipe.

I just bought LKK Premium last night, did I do bad bros? Kikkoman was cordoned off in a separate white-people section of the asian mart. LKK was in the china section. Are the people replying here white?
Soya, water, vinegar and salt.
>>15346929Pearl River Bridge Superior Light Soy Sauce
I really like Kikkoman as well. However, i want a darker cooking soy since i feel Kikkoman is better as a condiment than ingredient. Do you guys have anything you can recommend?
>>15348023I haven’t tried Lee Kum Kee premium, but I use and like a number of their other products and their standard and dark soy sauces and like them.
>>15348023Whatever race they are, they’re certified tastelets for using Kikkoman
* blocks your path, impregnates your wife and feeds on your children *
>>15346929whatever the store brand is
Soy sauce is manufactured and tastes different in each Asian country. If you buy Kikkoman and use it in Chinese food that asks for light soy sauce you're doing it wrong.
Yamasa >>> Kikkoman
>>15349720ThisI was also informed by a fellow Anon about Ponzu as well which has replaced my Soy usage because it doesn’t have 1/4 of the oceans salt in the flavor.
>>15348023You did alright. The regular version of Lee Kum Kee is a bit bland, but the premium version is quite good..
No need to be so salty. I have full salt version as well but only for sushi. Low salt one is just as good for sauces and dressings.
>>15346929I don't use soy sauce really. if I want a salty savory liquid I just dissolve some miso in water, sake, or stock
>>15351694True, I use low sodium most of the time. I've got both regular salt version and dark soy sauce for other shit. But I'll always use the low sodium for sauces and marinades.
>>15346929As much as I agree... HERE WE GO!
>>15347922you're meant to keep the small bottle and refill it with the big bottle. hence why it says "refill only with kikkoman".
>>15349726counter point:you are gay and they all taste the same
>>15349728Heard this a few times outside of /ck/.
>>15346929All soy sauces taste the same.Just like how all chinks look alike.
this one is my favorite
>not choosing the superior optionit's like I don't even know you faggots anymore
>>15349720I have only ever eaten this on pizza, and i'd still rather use soy sauce if I had the option.
I don't eat soy because 4chan told me soy is bad
>>15346929I brew my own.
>>15346929Kikkoman is god tier on silken tofu with scallions, lunch of champions.
>>15346929I agree. The second you pour soy sauce food becomes incredibly delicious.
>>15349014Kikkoman is Japanese and made with top quality ingredients. The Chinese section has the additive filled cheap shit
>>15347279i feel this way tooits amazing as an ingredient but meh on its own
>>15348973>Gluten FreeCELIAC BROS THERE IS A GOD OUT THERE AFTER ALL
>>15347922This goes for anything with multiple sizes, only buy my kewpie in the big bottles
>>15355126>its amazing as an ingredient but meh on its ownYou're not supposed to drink it straight out of the bottle anon.
>>15347592Worcestershire sauce would like a word you fucking pleb
>>15355348>a sauce so great, it has to leech in another sauce's thread to even be mentionedkek
>>15346929>Why yes, I only use soy sauce I got from the table at the local China cat food purveyors. Are there others?Yes
Got gifted a bottle of 4-year aged kiku bisiho. Delicious, has a strong boozy flavor. Only $25 a bottle, which will last me about a year, so it seems worth it to me.
Yamasa, Kimlan, and Pearl River Bridge
>>15346929No soy for this boy. Tastes the same.
>>15357216>kiku bisihoaaaaaa I FUCKING WANT ONEGIMME
>>15346929Bae taste. For me it's 1 gallon of kekkoman.Of cose I'm lying but whenever i post hongkee and SEA monkee soyas, i get no YOUs. Very sad. Nihongo kikkoman is too stronk.
>>15347277SEA monkee and CHINA sauces are cheaper but murikans can't buy them in their bullshit asian stores, and they don't wanna import them.https://www.lazada.sg/products/tiger-brand-top-quality-light-soya-sauce-i301132575-s527226045.html
>>15357599>Soy-freeThis is brah science anitvaxx shit.
>>15349720>NestleSorry I boycotted your sauces for freedoms and SJWs.
>>15347454Mushroom one is the superior one.And it loses flavor as its stored, unlike Kikkoman, which is sad.
>>15358066gotta try this one
>>15346929Lee Kum Kee is unironically the best soy. You can taste the difference.
>>15349720There's a restaurant by me that is famous for its steaks marinated in Maggi sauce. They come out to the table sizzling on a metal platter and smell godly. The only downside is that they put so much sauce on it I get dehydrated for the next day because of all the sodium.
>>15358141I agree but my kokoro is still with TIGER.
>>15346929Hon-Tsuyu, Kombu Tsuyu or Soba Tsuyu. Very mild and more sweet, with mirin and seaweed flavour.
>>15358066>>15358104That's for marinating and cooking.
>>15358141Confirmed. Lee Kum Kee is best Soy
>>15358436These aren’t for soy sauce replacements these are soup bases... I guess if it tastes good that’s fine but
>>15358043It's for people allergic to soy, retard-kun
>>15353343Fermented soy is fine
This is all I've ever grown up with. I much prefer it over anything kikkoman.
>>15351694I also keep this around for cooking. As a condiment, I really enjoy kishibori.
*teleports behind you*
>>15358511>liquid aminos from soy protien>soy sauce alternativeWhat's the difference?
>>15358632stupid people pay more
Pearl River Bridge for light, Lee Kum Kee for dark.
>>15346929Soyboys drink soylent.Soymen drink soy sauce straight from a bottle.
Pic related for dipping and seasoning, but generic Kikkoman for cooking. https://thejapanesepantry.com/products/mitsuboshi-soy-sauce
