MFP has a lot of entries for a lot of foods that are within the ballpark. If there is no way for you to accurately measure what is being served to you then you can just search that food and use your best judgement. If you can visualize a cup of something then you will probably be close to correct. The most accurate way to count calories is to use a kitchen scale though.
