Hello, these are my (mostly) ethnic cook books i got recently for myself.

Do you have any ethnic or cool/rare cookbooks?

Also, pick any book you want and I'll make a recipe out of it soon

best: Bourdain's
worst: "Thug Kitchen"
honorable mention: the yearly church/small town American legion recipe books sold at potlucks and fish fries and pancake breakfasts where everything contains mayonnaise measured by the cup and gelatin. sometimes you can find some gem recipes in there but mostly they're fun to read for the anthropological interest. makes you wonder about the complex webs of relationships woven in small town communities decades ago. Gladys and Muriel were clearly competing to see who could make the best pie crust, etc

I've had some bad experiences with translations of foreign language cookbooks (particularly Asian) that changed or omitted recipes for their Western release, so I mostly just use Youtube these days. Find a dish that looks interesting, check what the native name is if you don't already know it (Wikipedia is pretty good for this), then just copy and paste it into Youtube.

You get to watch food being prepared by multiple people from its country of origin, and if you're a semi-decent cook you don't even need to understand the language to follow the recipes.

I downloaded this book for free off pirate bay. It was mediocre. Rene redzeppi has a short man complex.
