You can find it in the northwest coast of america. Oregon, washington, around that area. It's not exactly common though. I had some once and it was good. Like taking earth and wood and making it sweet. Not something I'd bother going out of my way or homemaking for.

get 12 ounces white chocolate preferably ghirardelli but any will do. dry out about 4 grams of mushrooms over the course of 3-4 days until they are cracker dry. grind them up as fine as possible in a coffee grinder. microwave or melt the white chocolate down in a bowl or pan on the stove. takes about 2 minutes in the microwave, and a good bit longer on the stove obviously. mix it up with a spoon till theres no chunks, then throw the mushroom powder in and stir. put in the fridge for 2 hours or until completely hard and break it up with a butter knife or spoon into small chunks. that's it. it's a new unique flavor you've never had. people love it.

I've had it in the form of corn starch thickened honey mixed with dry mushroom powder. It's not amazing, but it's a unique enough experience that I'm glad I tried it.
