Because it gives off the appearance of "we are a serious restaurant that yes, even YOU, Mr. Suit & Tie Corporate America can come visit during your lunch hour." The "old school" style of fast food that McD's and BK used to have were brightly colored and flashy, which was meant to get kids and autists to beg their parents to take them to for food and the ball pit; this updated model builds off of that while trying to spread out its demographic.

It's not in a generic strip mall or in an area with a bunch of office buildings. Its right next to a major freeway and across from a strip mall and other restaurants. Its honestly depressing to look at
