How many eggs? Its not a secret that protein helps satiate your hunger.

Yeah right. I ate a half a cup of steel cut oats and 2 boiled eggs and I'm still hungry in the morning

2 scrambled eggs fried in butter.
I usually go 1 cup oatmeal 2 cups water and a dash of salt. I sweeten the oatmeal with a few streaks of pancake syrup and then top the bowl with the scrambled eggs.
it feels like I've swallowed a brick and it's just there stuck in my gut.

Do you add sugar to the oats? I've noticed that sugar seems to make me feel hungrier even if I've had enough food. Or it could just be that steel-cut oats are a little harder to digest which makes them less satiating than rolled oats.

Three times a week do an MMA class but isn't oatmeal suppose to make you feel full?

I'm guessing you're just not eating enough oatmeal. If you're using a pre-measured packet of it, those don't have a ton of food in them. Naturally you'd be hungry later.
Buy some steel-cut oats next time. I like mine with a bit of maple syrup and I find putting some sea salt on top really brings out the flavor.
It keeps me full well into lunch even when working hard on the farm.

>1 packet of instant maple and brown sugar
>pour in half cup milk and mix
>microwave for just under a minute
>add salted butter, dark corn syrup, dried cranberries, almonds(activated) and a teaspoon of creamy peanut butter
>mix and microwave until it stops rising(about a min.)
>if its a bit dry add teaspoons of milk and mix until desired THICCness
8 hours of satisfaction. also try the cinnamon apple ones with chocolate chips and heavy cream/evaporated milk, shits killer.

I am trying to put on weight and eatings oats erryday for breakfast.

I take a cup of oats, cover in whole milk and set in the fridge the night before. In the morning I add a tablespoon of honey, 1/4 cup of chopped dates, and some cinnamon.

Of course you're still hungry, you still have room in your stomach for more. But if you have a big glass of water with your healthy breakfast and wait an hour, you won't be craving more food. Plus, the nutrition content of oatmeal and eggs should get you about 6-8 hours before your stomach starts grumbling again.

>> No.15229049

>>15228956
This.. from a nutrition standpoint, carbs provide the fastest energy but very short acting (because it starts digesting as soon as it hits your saliva). Protein is midway because it digests in the stomach, and fat takes the longest to digest because it is digested in the small intestine. So if you eat carbs, protein, and fat in one meal you should be continuously digesting for the next 6-8 hours and receiving that energy in increments (this naturally makes the meal last you longer before you must eat again)

>>15228956
fats are low in satiety though

I'm surprised you feel hungry. Every morning i have 75g jumbo oats cooked in around 400g water with a banana on top and it keeps me full for around 5 hours.

It doesn't have to be plain, just don't add straight sugar to it. I usually like mine with walnuts and salt, the walnuts make it a little more filling too. Some dried fruit might be okay too, since fruit is more satiating than refined sugar as well.

I tried and there's no difference, I just have a bunch of wet almonds. I think you are messing with me. I googled it and all I got is memes.
