>A single slice of wafer thin ham
>some not quite cheese sauce
>2 thin cut slices of white bread

That'll be £5.99 plus tip guvna

Costa is probably the worst case of overpricing in this country. Post some from yours.

Costa is horrendously priced, but do you seriously tip in high street chains in the UK? Are you a yank? We don’t do that here

>> No.15223095

The market has decided the price.

The mcchicken is a ripoff for $1 compared to my version

Paul, gregs, prett, costa, starcucks, nero and any other chain is overpriced crap

For me? Its the niche Japanese tea shop that serves tea for 7£ and has church pews for seating

The Costa mozzarella-tomato-pesto whatever sandwiches are pretty good for what they are though. My gf and I ate several of them while hungover as shit in one at an airport.

That's why I never go to those places.
End up paying like 2 quid for a single fucking biscuit.

Costa is considered fast food where you live?

In Poland it counts as a rather exclusive (and fucking expensive) cafe.

Love their Tiger though. Expensive as fuck but delicious especially on a cold day.

>> No.15223345

For me it's everyplace in an airport because I travel a lot for work. Even the McDonald's is more expensive and the wait time is longer, especially now since almost everything else is closed due to the coof

>>15223088
Why are you surprised, it's in the name because it Costa lot.

If you lived in a real country like America, you could get a decent biscuit for $2.

Do Anglos really call melted cheese “cheese sauce”?

I have a love-hate relationship with Pret a Manger. They got banging food but the prices are fucked up. Greggs is the opposite, mediocre grub but reasonable price

It's properly a mornay sauce, but yes, "cheese sauce" or "queso sauce" is used as well.

funnily enough, costa is just starbucks but cheaper and with slightly less horrible coffee where I'm at
for some reason starbucks here pretends to be a trendy, premium place and their burnt, shit quality fake fair trade coffee is more expensive than the single-original specialty grade coffee served in independent local places
