adding cream to carbonara (just a splash, it is delicious, try it)

mandating that religion is not an excuse to harass gay people in your bakery for wanting the same thing straight couples ask for

It is taboo to suggest that people should not be allowed to discriminated against gay couples in bakeries and other places of public accommodation.

A majority of American lawmakers refuse to pass a law that would clarify that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is unlawful so I would say it is taboo.

>Though if I were to choose, the business owner should be able to deny service to whoever they please

as I said, it is taboo to suggest that gay people should have dignity and civil rights to not be harassed in public spaces by homophobes

>>15183868
the laws are neutral regarding religion, nobody gets a special exemption

I don't think you understand what taboo means. Let me provide an example:
I hate fags and niggers, however, if I were to express this in a public setting I would certainly be shunned, likely losing my job and friends(some at least). If you say, "gay is ok", people respond with "ok whatever". Not taboo, debated.
Good b8

>> No.15183960

But that's my point. You wouldn't be shunned. The baker who refused to make a gay wedding cake is still in business, popular, and has a book deal.

Gay people are shunned.

That is the law in most states, what are you talking about? On the contrary I'd say it's taboo to suggest that business owners have a religious right to refuse service to sexually deviant customers

Nope, a majority of states don't have laws banning discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

>On the contrary I'd say it's taboo to suggest that business owners have a religious right to refuse service to sexually deviant customers

what? That has been the status quo for hundreds of years...these laws have only existed for 30-40 years at most

Most people are still deeply homophobic and a vocal minority who are not doesn't change that.

Italian here. There are many, but putting Parmigiano on a seafood based pasta, like spaghetti with clams, is considered outrageous. I like it tho, even on creamy smoked salmon pasta, never understood why it's considered a nope. Some people say clams are too delicate to cover them with cheese, but honestly 10 grams of Parm could never kill their flavour
