Going to Costco tomorrow for the first time and I want to stalk up on essentials, especially long-term food storage stuff.

I saw a thread here a few weeks back I wish I saved because it had a great list of things like that Costco has that are really good. Things like their canned chicken and other things.

Anyone got

The bulk chicken breast is incredible as they are easily 2x the size of a perdue chicken breast, are easily frozen, and come in big packs. Great value, and quality.
Mountain House freeze dried buckets are good value but lack coffee and similar amenities of US MRE Unit A/B cases (coffee, snacks, etc). HOWEVER, freeze-dried buckets will last 30 years whereas MREs can *potentially* spoil 3 years after production....a point of consideration
This is an incomplete list. 90% of all items they sell are good, but the perishable items, despite being of great quality, may expire before you can use it in some cases.

Thank you. What are the instant noodles you recommend?

Nina canned san marzanos are legit but they aren't sold everywhere. The east coast ones have them.
Mateo's salsa.
The frozen fruit mixes are great.
Eggs are high quality but you might not need 2 dozen.
Look around the store for stuff ending in 97 for the price. That means it's close out and typically pretty cheap because they want to get rid of it. This is mostly for hard goods tho, but sometimes food.

This anon >>15178201 covered a lot. There's also a bunch of other stuff you can look at:

>rice/grains/other dried goods (eg. lentils, chickpeas, etc)
>flour (some costcos may also carry bricks of yeast, got a 2lb vacuum sealed block for $4-5)
>sugar/spices
>various soft drinks (one near me sells cases of polar and waterloo sparkling water)
>various stock/broths (sell cans of chicken stock and jars of Better than Boullion)
>canned meat (spam/corned beef/sardines, if the sardines are on sale they're about $7.50 for a 6 tin pack, usually ~$10 not on sale)
>bulk cooking oil (olive/canola/grapeseed/etc)
>snacks (I like getting the giant family sized Cheez-its)
>various household items (sponges, dishwasher pods, dish soap, liquid detergent, dryer sheets, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags, trash bags, etc)

I go to Costco to get junk - usually a case of Monster Ultras ( if they aren't sold out ), some of those exclusive Kirkland Himalayan Salt Kettle Chips, the giant cheap bottle of French vodka, assortment of frozen dumplings/potstickers, and a giant pepperoni pizza from the snack bar on the way out.

I recently got a bag of these from Kroger and they were damn good for frozen fries? My only complaint is they were a bit dry.. Think I could coat them in a little bit of oil before baking? Think that may actually singe them.

I was wondering why those prices were that way. A couple weeks ago they were selling some memory foam pillows marked down from $50 to fuckin $4.97. Couldn't believe my eyes. Bought 4 of them as easy gifts.
