I put it in my coffee/tea all of the time. Works great in soups too, add some pepper with it and the nutrients get absorbed much better

Dry turmeric just doesn't really taste like fresh turmeric. Some of the flavor is still there but for some reason dry turmeric gets to be a lot more bitter. Fresh turmeric is like a combo of ginger and orange which is pretty nice, but I've never really liked the dry stuff and will usually omit it. Just use fresh ginger instead. Won't taste exactly the same but it's better than dry turmeric.
