convenience, perks, user friendliness, and just works in general?

Starbucks pretty much started this. They put on a new CEO who was a Silicon Valley guy. Everyone thought wtf, but he actually oversaw a brilliant and reliable app created as well as installing more hip coffee trends like nitro at many locations.

Panera bread has a good one. you don't even have to make contact with anyone - sit down, order, and the only time you make contact with a wagie is when they bring you your food

Why don't you pay for a focus group instead, Mr Marketer, instead of trying to get this shit for free?

Tim Hortons is the only fast food place that has made an app so SHITTY that it turned me away from spending money there. I've never seen anything that made it that difficult to take someone's money.
McDonald's and Mary Browns probably have the best apps I've used so far.

chick fil a

you can order ahead of time and have it start preparing whenever you want even if you are not at the restaurant yet

there's often loooong lines at the drive thru, which I never do, I do curbside pickup, you order 5-10 min in advance and its ready when you get there and they bring it out to your car

>curbside pickup, you order 5-10 min in advance and its ready when you get there and they bring it out to your car
Dominos has that too. If you're out and about it's better than deliver. you just order, show up when its ready and put on your hazard lights and they bring you your pizza

>put on your hazard lights

that's annoying

chick fil a has designated curbside pickup spaces and you enter in the color and brand of your car and they find you that way

Agreed big time about Tim Horton's. Absolute dogshit as is their desktop site. It's amazing how incompetent they are in general with this stuff.

McDonalds used to be dogtrash but it's much improved
Subway's is good
Burger King is only good for coupons
Wetherspoons is the best app

One thing I was so excited with WWDC this year.
AppClips are gonna be huge soon. The ability to just open up a portion of an app without downloading/installing/signing up is great.

It's so difficult to get people to use restaurant apps because the same shit happens every time

>wanting to enjoy yourself at with friends or family, but end up having to spend 15-20 minutes pissing about downloading and signing up to an app, connecting to the stores shit WiFi, going through an order, having to get your card out and take a photo of it because the app doesn't accept Apple pay, your payment failing because VV or MC Secure explodes. Family starts getting pissy. End up having to just order from the waiter anyway, food is shit.

Appclips are gonna make shit a lot simpler for sure and more people will start adopting such technologies if they actually work more seamlessly. (still the chances of some shit devs fucking it up is still high)

It's already common knowledge that these agencies have a backdoor through Google, Apple, and Microsoft to do that, they don't need any help from McDonald's

>> No.15127358

>>15125261
Imagine voluntarily installing a fastfood spywareprogram on something as sensitive as a phone and what would they even do?

I mean noone searches for where you can find a specific fastfood you just happen to be close to one while being hungry enough to bother, if you still want to then checking on a map or yellowpages equivalent for your specific country would be infinitely more effective.

What else is there, ordering something digitally and just picking up? It's fastfood not pizza wouldn't that defeat the purpose of "fast" food

>> No.15127393

Burger King won't let you edit or cancel an order after you place it, and they immediately take your money as soon as you hit "order." Taco Bell won't fucking stop sending me notifications on my phone no matter what I change in the app settings. Wendy's deals are garbage. McDonald's is basically the only chain I know of that has a decent app.
