A lot of people like to talk about wings.

i dont want your fusion attempts on my wings. Wings only go one way. Fried, then tossed in sauce. You get 3 sauce options "hot, very hot, or hottest". And you get celery and blue cheese because this is the right way to eat wings. What the fuck is wrong with you people.

The entire point is tradition. Dishes are based in tradition you fuckin moron. Food is just calories when youre hungry but a real dish, a real recipe is a tradition.

BBQ wings are not bad for example I will take nice smoked/grilled wings before I take baked wings and ranch. But it's still not West NY style.

all the seasoning goes in the sauce. If you insist on seasoning the wings before the deep fry slumber then dont add any oil or anything but you're just helping them burn faster. It's not something I recommend and I have fried like over a thousand chicken wings.

Ranch works too. But blue cheese is better.

I do a double fry method, first at low temp and then high afterwards. Homemade dressing obviously.

Double fry is really good if you want to get that crispy crunchy oustide. Usually it takes a bit more time than just dropping wings in a fryer for 10 min but yeah it's worth it.

>>15124937
I understand Asian people have been eating chicken wings for a long time but when they finally do move to America I expect the gooks to acknowledge that sweet chili wings are pretty good but Buffalo Wings are the best wings.

For the record the guy who says you get 3 sauces is much fatter, he doesn't wear glasses, and is likely holding a baseball bat instead of pointing.

I like cooking wings in the oven for ~50 minutes, covering them in some sauce, then putting in the broiler at 450 degrees for 2 minutes before taking them out and dipping in sauce again.

Thats a good point actually. People make the assumption that tradition can never be improved. I myself can be a purest at times, but I also think its important to have an open mind.

i like dry rubs the most. there was this wings place near me that did this bitching cajun dry rub it was flatout the best wings I've ever had.

I miss that Wings Over every week. if you have one near you get their cajun dry rub wings, perfect amount of spice, crunchy, delicious. perfect with some carrots and ranch/blue cheese to cut the heat.
