Pretty much every chippy will have:

>Battered sausages
>Pukka Pies (steak, chicken and mushroom, or beef and onion)
>Doner meat
>Mushy peas
>Curry sauce
Pretty much anything else is regional; you'll find battered black puddings up north and some will be willing to batter and fry stuff you bring yourself like mars bars but that's about all you're assured to be available

I'm not from Yorkshire either. I'm from the US. I just saw some YouTube video where a guy ordered all of that stuff, and it looked good to me. Smack barm pea wet=a big slice of battered potato with salt and vinegar seasoning slathered with mushy pea cooking liquid on a bread roll. The baby's head is a steak pudding with gravy. I guess "babby's yed" is the Old English spelling.

I like exotic ethnic foods as much as anyone else, but I like simple carbs, meat, and gravy sometimes too.
