Stab a knife directly through the head and then slice downward to dispatch them. Contrary to what they tell you, they do feel pain, and the tensing of the muscles they do when killed in a painful way will make the meat tougher down the line. Once they've been killed as quickly as you can, steam them. Really no reason to boil them, just takes longer to heat the pot and narrows your margin of error on cooking them without overdoing them.

If this is "Moderate livelihood" lobster, then fuck you, you disgusting asshole.
If this is lobster caught IN season like they ought to be, then:

Steam them. About an inch of water in a pot with a lid on.
NEVER boil.

"Moderate livelihood" is just a codeword for illegally caught lobster that has been fished by an indigenous person out of season. It stems from the court case where Donald Marshall JR was arrested for catching eels out of season; the treaties between the British and the Indians reaffirmed his right to fish and hunt as usual, but still allows the courts and laws to regulate the fisheries for conservation purposes. The moderate livelihood fishery started in 2017 had the same aim, to illegally fish lobsters and claim it was a "moderate livelihood" in keeping with the treaties; but because you can fish in a breeding ground in the summer and get a huge amount in just one trap, their "It's just 50 traps" is a really moot point. They've been getting millions of dollars every year alone.

Also.. Crusher claw fractured my pinky knuckle.

They go from 30% graduation rate to over 90%.
Our local schools (The ones near where they're illegally fishing) have a graduation rate around 80-85.

On any normal day in the winter, we get 400 lbs per 400 traps, that's a pound a trap.
In the summer when they do their fishing, they get anywhere from 20-40 lbs a trap. Imagine spending 12% of what normal commercial fishermen spend on bait, traps, and rope, to get more than twice the amount of catch.
And they bring up race more than anything.
I have 2 full status cousins who are white than I am, and my full-blood brother and father are darker (Because of native blood) than their fucking spear-chucking chief.
The amount of race baiting is ridiculous.

When I was protesting their fishery with several hundred people, I accidentally stood with the natives; our white settlers are heavily mixed with mi'kmaq and wampanoag peoples, but they tell the world we're just upset white racists.

No, they're dumb bugs and the 15 seconds it takes for them to go into shock and die has no effect on the meat. Quality of water, care since being caught and what time of year effect flavor and texture.

Salting raises the boiling point of the water, producing a crisper lobster meat. It especially helps when cooking large quantities of bugs as you can rotate batches continuously since some water liberates from them. It produces a sort of slurry of salty water and bug guts. Delicious.

We used to do a stuffed lobster for catering, it can be done on a grill but is easiest broiled.

>pack body and tail with stuffing
